Laser welding is a welding technique where materials melt together due to the heat of a light beam. A laser beam provides local strong heating so that metal and non-conductive materials can be welded together. Laser welding is often used for high-volume production processes, e.g. in the automotive and medical industries, but laser welding is also a suitable technique for the production of pipes & tubes.
Weld inspection is automated and the addition of filling materials can also be automated. Adjustable fixtures clamp the pieces together during welding and the laser weld ensures a fine surface finish. Various welding techniques are possible, including fiber welding, welding with CO2, and welding with diode lasers. It is also possible to combine our welding techniques with e.g. our laser cutting techniques. Or you can choose to combine laser welding with classic MIG/MAG welding.
